In-Person Dyslexia Therapy

I am currently shifting my in-person dyslexia therapy to a speech-to-text approach known as EBLI. Please refer to the Speech-to-Print tab for more information.

Teacher and Young Student

Speech-to-print instruction moves much quicker than print-to-speech interventions. If your child is in the second grade or older, we will most likely start immediately with three or more syllable words. In addition, the cognitive load is greatly reduced compared to Orton-Gillingham-based approaches. Students do not have to memorize complex rules for dividing syllables. It is systematic and cumulative, without the additional burden of learning rules that typical readers never learn. Significant time will be spent reading authentic text, writing, and summarizing passages.
